The answer is yes -- although the "tax" should be in the form of profit-sharing (think of it as a sales tax). To effectively do this, though, they need to focus more on becoming a shopping destination. Note how social networks are becoming more and more like governments -- this trend should not be underestimated IMO, as I believe it will have world-changing consequences. -- KM
