New York, NY August 10, 2007 --- A petition has been launched to demand factually incorrect information from the September 11th page on Mahalo.com (mahalo.com/September_11), an Internet publisher. Specifically, the petition points out that the Mahalo page claims Osama bin Laden is responsible for the attack -- a suggestion in direct contradiction to a statement from the FBI Chief of Investigative Publicity, Rex Tomb, who has stated that the FBI has "no hard evidence" linking bin Laden to 9/11.

In a controversional post on his blog at calacanis.com, Mahalo CEO Jason Calacanis attacked Squidoo.com, the charity project of esteemed Internet marketing guru Seth Godin, for "polluting the infovironment" by promoting pages that clearly contained ringtone spam. Calacanis went on to ask the public to notify him if he were to ever be involved in polluting the "infovironment."

Blogger Kid Mercury (www.kidmercuryblog.com) noted that Calacanis's Internet startup, Mahalo.com, contained information in direct contradiction to statements by the FBI regarding the September 11 terrorist attacks. In spite of this information being presented, and numerous requests being made by Kid Mercury to have the Mahalo page corrected, Calacanis has ignored all requests and refused to engage in public dialogue regarding the matter -- in spite of his previous claims to welcome discussion of instances in which he engages in pollution of the "infovironment."

To ensure that historical records of September 11, 2001 and the lives lost that day are honored by the truth, KidMercuryBlog.com has launched a petition to demand that the factual inaccuracies regarding September 11 be removed from Mahalo.com.
