Is Kid Mercury Inappropriate?
I recently left a couple comments on the web criticizing "journalists" for covering sensationalist stories, while ignoring the myriad of more important stories myself and other truthers blog and tweet about. Those same "journalists" then blogged about how other journalists were being unethical/irresponsible. I then made comments suggesting they should look in the mirror first.
In some instances my comments were criticized and deleted. Those who had beef with my comments suggested they were rude and insulting. Indeed, I have often been criticized for having a harsh tongue. This is certainly not the first time I have experienced such a reaction to my words. I doubt it will be the last. Invariably, those who find my behavior to be objectionable do not talk about the truth. Instead, they do things like vote for Obama, or vote for Bush, or support the war (which you basically did if you voted for either Obama or Bush, as both are warmongers). Actually, the most likely scenario is that they don't vote. These people, who are criticizing my behavior while supporting pro-war politicians, do not understand why I behave the way I do, and why I consider my behavior to not only be justified, but to be virtuous. The logic behind my behavior is simple: the reason why we have a criminal government, institutionalized theft via the banking industry, global war, and global poverty, stems primarily from poor journalists. People just aren't informed of these matters. In sum, I treat most "journalists" the way they deserve to be treated. Before anyone misinterprets what I am saying note that my only weapons are words, songs, images -- art. I am not a violent person. I do not physically harm anyone, nor do I destroy any property or anything like that. I distance myself from those who do. Lastly, and most importantly, I encourage folks who find my behavior to be objectionable to do 1/1,000,000 of what I do to spread the truth. Just a link to 9/11 truth. A link to the central banking conspiracy. Have the courage to take a step in my shoes, just the smallest of steps. And watch how society treats you. Then let's see if you think my behavior is objectionable. As I noted, those who find my behavior to be the most objectionable are those who are most tolerant of the injustices of the world. From that perspective, I am glad that they find me distasteful, as it signals I am doing the right thing. |

kid is as kid does
inappropriate is relative. one can see the good or bad in anything. you have chosen a role of challenging people's fundamental beliefs that you think are false, hypocritical, etc. people will always be threatened by this - its human nature to reject your rejectors.
i struggle with this balance myself. i don't want to impose my values on anyone, but i feel a need to help highlight falsehoods and contradictions. how to do that without coming off as a complete a**hole? don't really have an answer....here is some odd kind of comparison spectrum (thinking out loud): - rasheed wallace. shoots his mouth of on anything to anyone. believes people feel threatened by him because he always speaks the truth - and people can't handle the truth. enjoys rubbing people the wrong way because he believes thats what makes them think and that history will vindicate him. - charles barkley. shoots his mouth of on anything to anyone. believes people like him because he always speaks the truth - and people want the truth. enjoys making people laugh. - stand-up comedians. shoot their mouth off on topics that we all experience, but can't comprehend or articulate. believe people laugh when they are exposed to the truth (of the silliness and contradictions of ourselves and the world around us world). enjoy making people laugh. - gandhi. quiet leader who mostly expresses himself through action and written word. believes if he lives the truth, people will naturally gravitate towards that. enjoys making people feel empowered. |

great point marko. and as a sixers fan i'll always love sir charles.
![]() rasheed wallace....not so much. doesn't he have some type of record for being ejected most times in a game or something like that? to me that strikes me as uncontrolled, egotistical, counterproductive behavior. at times i think i do make the mistake of being a bit like that, but for the most part i strive to keep my message in mind. if it is offensive, oh well. guess i will just have to write a song about it to put the haters in their place! ![]() at least with respect to myself, i often feel the need to be more "in your face," because i don't think the quiet, soft-spoken approach works with 9/11. people will ignore it because of how uncomfortable 9/11 truth is. if the message is more abrasive, then they'll get offended. offended is one step closer to changing behavior and living with awareness, which is another way of saying it's one step closer to the goal. personally marko, i encourage you to run the risk of being more of an a**hole. liberty is chaotic and thus prone to a**holes and a**hole behavior. liberty's not perfect, but it sure beats the alternative! |
