Goodbye, Saturn in Virgo
Saturn exits Virgo on October 29th, ending a two year transit. Think back to around November/December 2007: did you embark upon anything around that time? Did something happen to you then that has dominated the past two years? Two things for me have dominated the past two years. One thing I won't tell you about (well, I already have in a way, but I'll just be mysterious and leave it at that....which reminds me of something my college roommate's girlfriend said to me -- which is that I was the most mysterious person she ever met and that this was my advantage, and that I need to do a better job of selling it she said. LOL). But I'll tell you about the other thing that has dominated my life for the past two years, which is my trading site. Definitely, the big event for me over the past two years has been "making it" as an entrepreneur; I've got my own business and I live off it (at least for now....although the stress is non-stop, let me tell you ). But now, as Saturn prepares to exit Virgo on October 29, it seems as though things are changing. The business is changing/evolving and my business partner is no longer involved. A new cycle is emerging. Hopefully I will be able to expand upon my business and build out more niche learning communities, and then connect them all -- as is consistent with the vision we've been discussing for the past three years on this blog. Below are sign-by-sign horoscopes focusing on the exit of Saturn in Virgo. This is written taking a look back on the past two years and what you can expect going forward. If you know your time of birth (not just date, but also time), you should check your rising sign. You can enter your birth stats to get a chart for free at astro.com. As always remember that these types of horoscopes, while they can be useful and interesting, are ultimately a bit limited and not a true reflection of the immense potency of astrology. A full birth chart and counseling sessions that combine psychoanalysis with astrology is needed for the full effect. *** Aries. The past two years have been about day-to-day work; the daily job seems to have been exhausting, and challenging. It may have resulted in physical pains, particularly in the stomach/intestinal region, if the stress was not recognized and coped with productively. The next phase is about relationships. Just as the past two years gave you the opportunity to develop a disciplined work life and to overcome your insecurities about work, the next two years will give you the opportunityay to develop deep relationships that can stand the test of time. Provided, of course, that you do not succumb to the insecurity that these relationships will stir up. Remember, fear is always and forever a sucker bet, whether or not you believe in astrology. Taurus. The past two years may have been consumed by service to a creative project. This can be something artistic -- i.e. a music album, a painting, an entrepreneurial endeavor, etc. -- or it can be literally creative -- i.e. becoming a parent. The creative project you've been working on over the past two years should have stabilized by now, provided you've done the work Saturn demanded of you. Now Saturn will demand the same effort you put into your creative life from your daily work life. Astrologically, Saturn is known as "The Great Teacher" -- because Saturn teaches you discipline, humility, and the importance of overcoming fear. Use the next two years to let Saturn teach you about applying those concepts to your daily work life. Gemini. LOL, the family stress really could have taken its toll over the past couple years. The home life could have been challenging as well. But it should have served to shake the weakness out, so that only a solid family/home foundation remains. This can provide you with the foundation you need to focus building a creative endeavor -- be it a film, a bridge, or children. Cancer. The transition is from challenges in learning and with siblings to challenges with building your own home and family. Saturn tends to bring fear, which tends to bring out the over-defensiveness in Cancer; remember this when dealing with home and family matters over the next two years. Leo. The past two years may have caused you to redefine what's actually important to you; what your true values are. Chances are you took a financial beatdown, as Saturn being in your second house may have had that effect. Hopefully you learned, if you did not already know, that fear is not an option when dealing with money matters; discipline is the only option. The challenge for the next two years is to not be afraid to speak your mind, and to not be afraid to challenge yourself intellectually. If you do those two things, you'll be better positioned to get back any money you lost over the past two years, if you did lose money. Virgo. The past two years have reshaped your identity; how you perceive yourself and thus how others perceive you. Now the focus goes to money and values. You've made a new public identity for yourself, now it's time to establish what your new values are -- and to put your money accordingly. Libra. Time to pull a Madonna and re-invent your identity. You may have had a secret identity, or some part of yourself that you've been keeping concealed, over the past two years; its grown to a point where you can no longer conceal it. As you go public over the next two years, remember: don't be afraid. Scorpio. The past two years have been about your relationship with the group; how society perceives you. Perhaps your differentness was highlighted over the past two years, and perhaps you felt a bit ostracized. Hopefully this helped you grow more confident in going your own way when you need to. Now, the challege is to find something higher than yourself to serve -- to go spiritual. Always remember the rules with Saturn: don't be afraid, be humble, and have discipline. Once you pay the price Saturn requires, you'll be rewarded in ways you did not expect and could not have foreseen. Sagittarius. The past two years may have revolutionized your career, giving you the spotlight -- and the pressure, insults, and critical acclaim -- that comes with it. Has it made you a stronger person? Hopefully. Because now that you have a platform for your career, the next two years will be about deciding what you are going to use that platform for. Why did you want career success in the first place? What were your true values, goals -- what were you hoping to accomplish? Sorry for the tough questions, but Saturn demands it. Capricorn. Saturn is your ruler, Capricorn, and is preparing to enter your 10th house, where Saturn is most comfortable. A few things to bear in mind: you may get more authority and more people to boss around; you may also get more of a spotlight; you'll be challenged to work harder than usual; many of your professional insecurities may surface in strong ways (use this as inspiration to work harder, not quit); and you'll fall from grace if your ego gets too big. Hitler had Saturn in the 10th in his birth chart, as did Napoleon. Both were great leaders, yet both had egos that did them in. Something for you to consider over the next two years. Aquarius. The quest for meaning; the search for God. The "why am I here? what am I doing?" type of questions may be particularly strong over the next two years. There may also be a strong focus on writing/publishing, and on travelling. The more your ego grows out of check, the more lost you'll feel. A good time to focus on education, if you've been thinking about learning something new. Pisces. Relationships over the past two years have been very challenging. It's quite possible the weak relationships have been shaken out and your left with only the strong ones -- which might be a lot fewer than you expected. The next two years are about careful financial relationships, and about working to understand the values of others. If you focus on understanding the value of others, you'll be better able to understand your own values -- and will be able to find winning deals/relationships for all. Best of luck as Saturn prepares to offer new lessons to us all. Feel free to share any questions/comments in the section below. |
