Understanding The Jupiter / Neptune Conjunction in Aquarius
If you're like most people, you wake up in the morning and say to yourself, "Golly gee, I hope Kid Mercury writes me a horoscope today!" Well guess what? Today's your lucky day! Because today's post here on KidMercuryBlog.com is a look at the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius, one of the dominant themes of 2009, and the opportunities it will create for the 12 signs.
It is important to note that astrology is NOT always, or even primarily, about forecasting the future and telling you your life is fated and there is nothing you can do about it. While I definitely believe there are fated events and an overall destiny of sorts for each person, I prefer to view astrology as more like a map -- it will tell you what the environment is like, and what paths are available. How the journey of your life progresses through this map, though, is up to you. In this sense it can be viewed as a tool that enhances free will by giving you a better understanding of how you can CHOOSE to direct your energy -- not a message of doom that restricts you to your fated life. The Jupiter/Neptune conjunction is about the energies of Jupiter and Neptune combining in a single area of your life. Jupiter is associated with the following:
The key question we should be asking ourselves, in my opinion, is how can we constructively use the expansion energy of Jupiter with the idealism and vision of Neptune in light of how this energy will manifest in our chart? I hope the sign by sign horoscope below helps you to this end. Think of how you can combine the imagery of Jupiter and Neptune above with the sign by sign descriptions below to help you. Aries. Government, political action, humanitarian work. Your own dreams and ambitions, identifying what they are. Local communities. Sociology, or understanding the psychology of the crowd. Taurus. Your career. Your role in the public eye. Gemini. Writing. Travelling. Higher education. The quest to make sense out of your life. Understanding the big picture. What you put your faith in. Cancer. Sex. Shared finances. Your own grieving, and the ability to help others deal with death and grieving. Learning to let go. Leo. Relationships. Learning your boundaries in relationships. Virgo. Day to day work. Libra. Creative endeavors. Children. Playing. Scorpio. Your home. Family life. Relationship with the father. Sagittarius. Writing. Short trips. Gathering information. Writing though, I really like that, and think it's a great year for writing for those with Sagittarius as their sun sign or their rising sign. Capricorn. Money, and your personal values. What do you really want out of life? Aquarius. Your identity, your sense of self. Pisces. Dreams, past lives, your connection to the spiritual world. This is also a great year to set as the foundation for next year, which has potential to be stellar if this year is done properly. In the Context of the Big Picture Of course, we should also think about how these events may play out in the context of the big picture. I think the two cosmological factors that are really setting the backdrop for all of this are Pluto in Capricorn, which we've discussed extensively on this blog before, and 2012. 2012 in particular I think is going to create a spirtual revolution of sorts, and will trigger greater interest in things like astrology, past lives, etc as well as a time when the veil between the physical world and the spirit world becomes thinner than it has been in a long, long, LONG time. The song for the post is "Paradise City" by Guns n' Roses. The lyrics clearly reflect a Neptunian longing for paradise, while the unbridled optimism and monster guitar solos reflect a Jupiterian sense of optimism, expansion, and adventure. |
