Book Review: The Covert War Against Rock
I recently completed reading The Covert War Against Rock by Alex Constantine. What follows is a quick review.
Before I get into the subject matter of the book, I wanted to comment on its author, Alex Constantine. Constantine is one of the few journalists who does not introduce spiritual thoughts when researching Satanism and mind control. For this reason, I value his perspective very much, as I think it is not encumbered by pre-existing spiritual views, regardless of how accurate such views may be. Constantine's work is always very well researched and strives for objectivity. In sum, he's a great journalist. With that said, I find some of his behavior to be a bit perplexing, as he has hated on much of the 9/11 Truth Movement, and has been very critical of some prominent Truthers. While the most prominent Truthers may have some views that are controversial or are not fully agreed with, I always find it disappointing for Truthers to hate on each other, or at least make hate a priority over cooperation. Anyway, let's get on with discussing the book, The Covert War Against Rock. The book's basic point is that elements of the CIA and FBI have murdered musicians who were using music to bring about real change. Some of the musicians the book says have been murdered in this way are: John Lennon Jimi Hendrix Tupac Shakur Biggie Smalls Mama Cass Bob Marley Michael Hutchence Peter Tosh Joan Baez Jim Morrisson Brian Jones John Lennon is a definite, any serious conspiracy researcher knows that Lennon was killed because of his political views and that he was determined to use his music to create real change in the world. The book makes convincing cases for the other murders as well, presenting well-researched material and tying it into the larger strategies of the fascist elements within the FBI/CIA --namely Operation CHAOS. Constantine also knows how the Nazis actually won World War II; first through Operation Paperclip, and then integrating those Nazis throughout government agencies, most notably NASA and the CIA. These folks created a secret government within the existing government that is essentially still in charge today. Constantine is already quite familiar with this information regarding the Nazis in the US, and thus is able to provide excellent context for the environment in which the murder of these musicians took place. Overall, I found the book to be interesting. If you are a musician or have an interest in pop culture history, I think you'll enjoy this book. If you are a conspiracy researcher, you may also find this book to be interesting -- though I think you should read other books first, such as Constantine's other books or Jim Marr's recent book on the Nazi influence in the United States, The Rise of the Fourth Reich.
