Youngsters vs. Old-timers
There's no doubt about it: truthseekers, while we may be a more informed bunch, have serious brand management issues.
Think about it: we don't really have a name, aside from the insults thrown our way by our more uninformed and/or ignorant brothers and sisters. This makes it hard for us to spread the word, which, as we know, is the first and simplest step to solving all problems. It is the Truth that sets us free, as us truthseekers are fond of saying. So how do we deal with the branding crisis? My favorite strategy is to try to change perception of the insult. Our song, "Proud to be a Conspiracy Theorist" is an example. I also like the term kook, simply because I think it sounds funny, and find it humorous that people honestly try to use a funny-sounding word as an insult. The key question is what do we call those who do not know the Truth? Sheeple is a popular term. I confess to having enjoyed it quite a bit. But while the sheeple deserve to be called sheeple, I don't think it's productive to getting them to awaken, which is necessary. I've taken to the term "youngster," which I find doubly amusing since I am calling myself Kid Mercury. But it is true: we live in a world of children unwilling to take responsibility for themselves, and thus we are easily seduced by the lie that government can take care of us by printing money. Once you learn that this is a lie and you choose the truth instead, you go from being a youngster to being an old-timer. So what's it gonna be? You a youngster or an old-timer? Choose wisely, kiddo. |
