The Re-Introduction of Kid Mercury's Store

You'll notice in the top navigation of this site I've added a store link with a dropdown menu.

I've tried adding a store in various formats before here at KidMercuryBlog.com, as folks who've been reading my blog for a while may recall. I'm still experimenting with what works and how best to do it. The basic principle, as we've discussed a good bit lately, is to leverage the trust and influence I've earned through my media to sell products and services I like. Down the road, I want to integrate virtual currencies, and the ability to earn money via contests, games, and contributions made to the site. The virtual currencies earned can then be used to purchase products in the store. When this is in place and applied on a mass basis, it will result in a completely new financial system for the entire world (see our previous post on this subject). You could call it a new world order!

But that is down the road. For now, I've quickly launched a bunch of Amazon stores, as you can see in the navigation above. More interestingly for me, though, I've added a page with a video where I talk about guitar products I use and like, and then have links where people can buy them (of course I get a kickback on those sales).

You can see the page with my recommended guitar gear here.

To help sell this, I've also added a guitar lessons channel, where videos that teach people to play guitar are automatically being imported from YouTube. I've also included a link to ActoGuitar.com, which long-time readers may recall being the first community site I launched that focused on education and remixing media to build a niche community. I've since abandoned working on ActoGuitar.com directly (will probably return to it at some point), though the guitar niche is perfect for all the stuff I'm talking about; there are a ton of videos online showing you how to play guitar and covering every obscure area of guitar playing; the real problem that entrepreneurs need to solve, then, is organizing and filtering this information. You can see the foundation of this on ActoGuitar.com. I'm also working on the technology that will allow me to easily syndicate the content as organized on ActoGuitar to other bloggers, so that any blogger can create their own online guitar school. This I think is where niche communities are headed, and how publishers who have used their media to gain influence (i.e. writers, musicians, photographers, filmmakers, etc) can build a vibrant community and leverage their influence to sell products they recommend -- while also setting the stage to find new influencers in their community, who in turn can then sell products they recommend in the community and sharing revenue with the community owner.

I hope that makes sense (if it doesn't it'll become a lot clearer as I develop this). It's all a little sloppy at this point as I'm still experimenting on this site, though in my other site, things are more orderly, and the revenue model is working well for us and is satisfying the businesses we share revenue with as well -- something that is hugely important in our increasingly interconnected economy. Some people seem to have found my other site, on which I contribute normal articles for marketing purposes on the currency market (it is a site about trading the financial markets) and act like a regular person. LOL. Don't spoil the fun and comment about this blog on that site, though. Slowly but surely, though, any real conversation about the financial markets needs to understand that there is a ton of dishonesty and political factors that come into play, and failure to assess thoughs is going to create problems, particularly for those who don't rely analysis of price movement (aka technical analysis) to find buying and selling opportunities. So the awakening is happening on all fronts.

Anyway. I'll be refining the whole store process as things go on, making it more smoothly integrated, resolving all interface issues, etc. In the mean time, use the trust you have in me that I earned from the media I create to confidently buy some of the stuff I endorse and recommend. And while you're at it, learn to play guitar here on KidMercuryBlog.com!
