An Important Update on Kid Mercury's Plan to Make a Lot of Money and Save the World (Oh, and do you know a good accountant?)

Before I get into the update, I wanted to quickly ask if anyone knows a "conspiracy theorist" accountant. By this, I mean an accountant who knows about the role of the Fed in monetary policy, and the unconstitutionality of the income tax (if you are new to the subject of the income tax and how it is actually a voluntary tax [meaning not required for you to pay], check out America: Freedom to Fascism. It would be advantageous to have such an accountant for tax preparations for myself and my business. Also, while courts have upheld that income tax is voluntary, I would recommend paying the mafia anyway. Whether or not you will win in court has much to do with judges (many of whom are bought and paid for) and public juries (that may not be willing to accept this truth because it goes against everything they know).

So if you know a truther accountant, holla at me.

Okay. Now for the update on my plan to get rich and save the world.

To recap, the plan is as follows:

1. build a business built around making niche social networks (aka online community)
2. use niche social networks to create a comprehensive customer profile of each member
3. this customer profile is used to create a personalized marketing plan for the person
4. virtual currencies, as well as RFID and integration with handheld devices, will allow these niche social networks to become essentially as powerful as governments, and will fulfill many roles we currently think of as governmental roles, even offline ones (i.e. providing telecommunications services, transportation services, ensuring sound monetary policy, security, arbitration resolutions, etc).

This is how wealth and liberty will be created. For a more comprehensive look at the strategy, see our strategy reports.

The first step is to create one profitable online community, which we've done. We've tried a handful -- I blogged about them before, back when this was more of a business strategy blog -- but we finally have one. Unfortunately I cannot link to that site because my colleague has requested a "quarantine" of sorts on KidMercuryBlog.com. Because as we know, the Truth is the fastest way to get cut out of the matrix. I do find this quite unfortunate, but the fact remains that the people are not willing to accept the Truth, and until that changes, we're going to have some serious problems without solutions -- because everyone is afraid of the Truth.

But I digress. Anyway, the profitable community has some key attributes -- attributes that I think will enable the business to survive with minimal pain as we enter a hyperinflationary depression:

1. Costs near zero. Hacking open source software and social media marketing (i.e. blogging, vlogging, podcasting, etc) are the inputs; the only real costs are hosting, which is pushed out to infrastructure specialists we contract with.
2. Filtering the web. Whatever niche we are in, we filter and reclassify -- similar to information remixing services like outside.in and the hype machine.
3. Publishing free content. Our communities are centered around blogs -- a bit like what we have on KidMercuryBlog (though each one is customizable and so there is a good amount of variation). The blogger publishes free content and interacts with the community. This, I believe, is the future of free publishing, and how it leads to a greater and healthier publishing economy than what we currently have -- one based on selling products and significant copyright enforcement.
3. Revenue model. Lead generation and ecommerce are the revenue models. I find this to be the most important aspect, because I think the next big disruption in advertising is one that breaks us out of CPM/CPC pricing (meaning banner ads and text link ads).

The revenue model definitely needs to be proved more. Though at this point, it generates enough revenue for the blogger to live on. The site is only getting approximately 1,300 unique visitors a day -- something I found promising, as I believe that we'll see a niche media explosion: tons of niche independent publishers able to live profitably (there will of course be stars, and probably the chance for stars to be bigger than ever -- though I do think there will be fewer of them).

The game plan is to then mass produce niche social networks, the technology and business processes for which we have largely in place. The key question: is this a model that can work across all niches? Our current profitable site noted above is a finance one, which is more conducive to lead generation and is more lucrative to begin with (though more competitive as well). I'm inclined to think, though, that this basic framework will work within all niches. The key is now talent -- the talent of the publisher competing for the attention of the audience. Taking a big picture perspective, this is why I believe that businesses built on freely distributing media (in order to build a community) will ultimately end up empowering independent publishers, so that the copyright villians that have imprisoned us in a matrix of lies can be defeated, as we have prophecied in our myth.
