First We Sang About Love. Now We Sing About Truth.

First We Sang About Love. Now We Sing About Truth.

Today, August 1st, is a solar eclipse -- a sort of "reset," a consciousness shift.

So, it is fitting that introduce the next piece of Kid Mercury's World:

Truth Songs.

First we sang about love, droppin' three minute pop songs about love like it ain't no thang. Now we, the inhabitants of Kid Mercury's World, must use the strength we've found in love to overcome fear -- so that we can each individually become the messenger who delivers the Truth that sets mankind free.

Without further ado, here are our new songs (spread them far and wide! Tell one, tell all!):

9/11 Truth Everyday. My attempt at writing an anthem for the Truth Movement. The song borrows from "Don't Look Back in Anger" (here is another song I wrote that also borrows from "Don't Look Back in Anger"....I'm trying to get more mileage out of that tune than Oasis has!). Of course, Noel is more than welcome to take songwriting credit for it if he wants. He did dedicate "Don't Look Back in Anger" to America shortly after 9/11 in this legendary performance at Barrowlands...could Noel Gallagher be a 9/11 Truther?????

Fairytale. This is my fourth video recording of my 9/11 remix of Sara Bareilles' "Fairytale" -- turning her song about a girl who doesn't want a fairytale romance into a song about not wanting the 9/11 fairytale. Hope Sara doesn't mind. But hey, I wrote her a love song! And I even tried to get her fans to sing it to her! And I actually think that's a good tune, definitely the best song I ever wrote for a person. Well anyway, a love song in exchange for the courtesy of remixing "Fairytale" seems like a fair trade to me. So thank you, Sara Bareilles, for your contribution to the 9/11 Truth Movement!

You're a Spiritual Being With a Destiny. Last time I dropped songs on all ya'll I told you that you needed to memorize the lyrics to this song so that you can sing along when we play it live. Have you memorized it yet? If you've been derelict in your duty as a citizen of Kid Mercury's World, here is another chance. Remember, people, this is the anthem of Kid Mercury's World. So be a good citizen and learn the anthem. It's the patriotic thing to do!

Legalize Weed for Jason Mraz. To increase visibility of my videos, and to spread the Truth to targeted niche audiences, and to amuse myself, I try to write songs about other musicians and prominent bloggers. Jason Mraz, a songwriter I give mad props to (his game is off da hook), is next on our list. In this song, we encourage those who love Jason -- an admitted pot smoker -- to call for the legalization of marijuana. We talk about the marijuana conspiracy in the song as well, so as to educate listeners. So say it loud, sing it proud: Legalize Weed for Jason Mraz!

Pretty Girl. A pop song I wrote for my niece, Avni, who was born just a few months back. I sang this to her a couple weeks ago and she started crying; I then told her if she cried again when I sang it to her I would take a picture of her crying and would publish it on the Internet for everyone to see. Sure enough, she started crying the next time I sung it to her. So, being a man of my word, here is a picture of my crying niece:

Though I don't totally blame her. I have a tough time singing this song. You should sing it instead!

Love Yourself for Who You Are. The b-side to Let Love Lead the Way. And it's a very true message, people. You do need to love yourself for who you are!

Don't Let the Haters Get You Down. This is for all the musicians out there. Always remember what Kid Mercury told you: don't let the haters get you down! This is a work in progress; I'm going to add an a cappella section to the intro -- sort of like I did in my oh so cheery song, Suicide's Knockin'. But sing it, share it, and most importantly, use it to transform the haters' hate into fuel for your heroic journey.

Okay folks, you know what to do: Sing the truth. Publish it here on KidMercuryBlog.com. And tell people to come to here for the same reason you come here: to find the Truth that sets you free.
