Seth Godin: Amazon is Babe-ifying the Kindle

Seth Godin claims that Amazon is babe-ifying the Amazon Kindle.

Sad but true. Babe-ification of brands is an ongoing trend, as we have discussed.

Oh well. At least we still have Fight Club.

Amazon is blowing it with the Kindle, though, for many of the reasons Seth notes. Ultimately, Kindle needs to be open source with a development community, at which point it could become the ultimate portable Internet-enabled device. Such a device will truly change the world, and is a key part of life beyond the nation-state.

Looks like the opportunity is still on the table for someone else.
