Fred Wilson, Mikey Arrington, Raining Jane, and Brand Hijacking

Fred Wilson, Mikey Arrington, Raining Jane, and Brand Hijacking

One of the marketing strategies I want to try to encourage adoption of 9/11 truth -- and more importantly, of the conspiracy/freedom/truth lifestyle overall -- is what I'll refer to as a "brand hijack," a term coined by Alex Wipperfurth in his outstanding book, Brand Hijack. Wipperfurth argues that brands must now allow themselves to be "hijacked" and co-created by their community of users -- a common theme amongst Internet marketers, though I found Wipperfurth's analysis to be especially excellent, and thus I consider it one of the best Internet marketing books around.

Anyway, I'm going to try to hijack some brands that I think are worth hijacking. I'll try to co-create the brand and associate it with the freedom lifestyle, and use it as a vehicle to spread the freedom message. I'll be doing this through my songwriting project, Operation LoveSong. After all, on 9/11, America was hijacked through fear; I'm simply hijacking it back through love.

To the brands I seek to hijack: don't worry, this is ultimately a good thing for you, as I am going to try to monetize this whole endeavor, and revenue will be shared, thus enabling more revenue to be generated. After all, as anyone who's been in business for more than a day knows, the best way to make money is to help other people make money. And I plan on making a lot of money!

So, without further ado, here are some more songs about people that spread the truth message:

1. Fred and Mikey, Give Truth a Chance. Fred Wilson and Mikey Arrington are two prominent bloggers who recently engaged in a blog war of epic proportions, creating a firm divide in the technology blogosphere (see our previous coverage). Let us sing this song, which I co-wrote with John Lennon, to use the Truth to end the war between Fred and Mikey. Let the record also reflect that in the blog war between Fred and Mikey, Fred is without question the winner. Not only did he not stoop to Mikey's level by engaging in unintelligent and unwarranted insults, but Fred is generally an honest person, which is probably why he has such a popular blog with a passionate following. Granted, he's not honest like "9/11 was an inside job" type of honest, but still a pretty honest fellow. As for Mikey....well, like I said, Fred's an honest guy, so let's appreciate that and call for more honesty.

I enjoy rivalry songs as I find them quite humorous, so I'll be doing more of those as well.

2. Low Gas Prices for Raining Jane. Raining Jane is an independent band, four ladies doing an acoustic music type thing. I imagine they drive a lot while touring, and so gas prices are probably putting a hurt on them. So, if you love Raining Jane, ask yourself, "why are gas prices rising so much?" If you seek the truth to that answer, you'll find that excessive expansion of the money supply is why gas prices are rising (as well as why all other prices are rising). And that if you don't want America to fall apart economically (as well as in almost every other sense of the word), de-militarization is necessary. Those who argue otherwise don't understand the relationship between war and economy; war exists to transfer wealth from the middle class to the people in the war business (aka military-industrial complex). This is done via inflation of the money supply, which results in higher prices. Our video on the Federal Reserve covers this and other topics crucial to understanding why Americans are getting poorer, and how to stop that trend from continuing.

Songs About YOU

Here are some songs I wrote that are not about proper nouns, but rather about all of us.

Let Love Lead the Way.

You're a Spiritual Being With a Destiny. Everybody needs to learn the lyrics to this one. I plan on rocking Wembley Stadium with this jam, and I want you all to sing along. In fact, I'm going to kick it Noel Gallagher style and not even sing, let you guys do all the work. This will be the last song of my set and I'm just going to walk around giving paychecks to the members of my orchestra while you guys sing the song. After all, you guys are supposed to do all the work, I just show up for the money.

Just joking, I always earn my money. But you do have to sing along! We gotta go anthem style with this one, as it's certainly true for all of us: we're all just a bunch of spiritual beings, each with our own destiny.

Enjoy, and spread this stuff, tell everyone you know, etc.
