Though we have been critical of Michael Arrington for being both hypocritical and economical with the Truth (see our previous coverage of his earth shattering flame war with fellow A-list blogger Fred Wilson) he does tell the Truth here about data portability. This is why data portability is going to truly break down the walls of the corporation, because a fundamentally different organizational structure is needed -- one more akin to the freedom-oriented ideals of the nation-state rather than the dictatorship that is the modern corporation.
