I just purchased a year's worth of storable food.
It cost me over $1,800 US dollars.
For me, $1,800 US dollars is a lot of money. I mention that only to illustrate that I am taking my own advice here, and am taking it very seriously.
I would recommend you do some research into rising food prices and the global food shortages.
Here is an article worth reading. You can also buy storable food from that site as well.
My point is that even if you have a lot of money, that is no guarantee; your money won't do you much good if there is no food to buy it with. In the long run, I think storable food is a worthwhile investment (as are back up energy sources, which I'll blog more about later.)
