Today is a lunar eclipse -- the lunar eclipse that corresponds to the February 6 solar eclipse, which
we previously discussed. I had mentioned that the eclipse astrologically symbolized a change on the home/house front.
A few days ago I came across an opportunity to move to Miami. I figure why not, and it works with the astrological symbolism. So I'm in the midst of selling all my stuff and packing to go to Miami, which I'll do in early March.
I'm looking forward to the warm weather, though Florida is a kinda creepy place to live.
Jeb Bush actually declared martial law in the days before 9/11. Alleged 9/11
hijackers were trained at a naval base in Florida.
Anyway, I've been in New York City for almost 10 years. It is the one place I consider home, so it is a bit sad to leave. Of course, the matrix is collapsing, and New York is going to be a very different place once the economy is re-built. So with that in mind, here are my 6 favorite places in New York -- the best city the matrix has to offer:
6.
Mamouns. Super cheap, super fast, super good falafels.
5.
Sidewalk Cafe. Another great music venue. AMAZING talent on open mic night, definitely the most talented musicians I've ever seen I've seen them at Sidewalk's open mic.
4.
Postcrypt Coffee House. Best acoustic music venue. A hidden gem.
3.
Fetch. One of my favorite restaurants. Its twin restaurant,
Fred's, is also highly recommended. I've spent a good amount of money at these two places.
2.
Sarabeth's. Best. Brunch. Ever. Show up early if you don't want to wait forever.
And my all time favorite place in New York City....
1.
Kate's Joint. I am a vegetarian (not for ideological reasons, but just because I was raised that way and don't really like the taste of meat), and Kate's Joint is a killer vegetarian restaurant. Haters in the link above call it vegetarian junk food, which is true to a large extent, but it tastes really good. They also have the best music playing, they feature many of
the artists we do here in Kid Mercury's World.
