As things get worse here in the US, we are going to see states fight back more, especially when the federal government tries to enact laws that place a greater expense burden on state government (like they have done with the Real ID Act). This is how the United States will essentially experience its second revolution. The biggest consequence of this is that all things local are going to be more important. This is going to cause the development of more population dense cities. On the Internet, local web services will enjoy good growth. -- KM
