January 25th marked Pluto's entrance into Capricorn, a time when we can expect the collapse -- what new economy consultants BubbleGeneration have referred to as the "
macropocalyse" -- to accelerate, and to be publicly acknowledged in the collective psyche.
This is something we've talked a good bit about on this blog. See
our collection of posts on Pluto in Capricorn for past discussions.
One nice indication of this is
this post on TechCrunch, a leading Internet business publication, on how corporate IT spending will be on a tighter budget. The post is dated January 25th -- a convenient example of astrological synchronicity.
Anyway, the TechCrunch post also
notes that this destruction will be an opportunity for infrastructure to be re-built -- this time on top of the newer web technologies.
So yes, the matrix is collapsing, and we are just beginning to experience the pain of that. But, to keep you focused and optimistic, remember what awaits us: the open source-powered new economy, where information is free. And because information is free, man will be free as well.
