Why is this important? Two reasons:

1. to make sure the next civil rights leader does not get killed in the same way
2. because in the world beyond the matrix, the world where big government and big corporations are not there to take care of you, people are going to need to be more responsible and more active in their community. Being informed is the first step in that direction.
