We're going to be changing directions a bit with this blog. It's going to be less business theory intensive, less technical, and more about psychology, the global conspiracy, technology, culture, economics, art, and of course, astrology. The goal is to write content that does not require much pre-requisite knowledge.

There are a few reasons for this:

1. My sole reason for living is to get ActoNetwork up and running. To this end, I need this blog to have a wider appeal -- one that does not require business or technical knowledge to comprehend.

2. I'm kind of bored with the business world. I mean, yes, it was fun to make a big deal out of how Marc Andreessen links to 9/11 Truther Rosie O'Donnell. And yes, it was fun to flip the script on Jeffrey -- to have the audience give the professor a homework assignment (and to pay them with MercBucks!). But you guys ultimately aren't serious enough. A funny statement coming from a guy calling himself Kid Mercury, but a true one nonetheless. So I need to expand a bit.


Oh, and Jeffrey: don't think you're off the hook regarding your latest homework assignment. You're already late. Don't make me schedule a parent-teacher conference with your guardian, Jeffrey. Be a good boy and do your homework. Learn the Truth that sets you free, Jeffrey.

3. Anyway, the astrological reasoning for this is that the forthcoming eclipse on February 20 will conclude the Pisces/Virgo eclipse cycle that began in March of 2006. If you began something at that point -- and that "something" can be defined as something external or an internal psychological change, or both -- now is the time to consolidate what you've learned, and to prepare to use that experience to enter a new phase of your life. For me, I started writing my business reports back in March of 2006, so now it's time for me to consolidate that knowledge and move on.
