The issue of trust is going to redefine how businesses compete. This is why I don't trust Facebook, and why I reluctantly trust Google (they make the best crap and are the smartest company by a long shot, but I am looking to jump ship as soon as something better comes along). The open source revolution is also a revolution in transparency and truth. But of course, since the customer is so powerful on the web, the customer needs to be a bit more demanding of honesty and transparency as well. If Facebook wants all your customer data, they need to be willing to share more of themselves as well. -- KM
