Wow, this post seriously hates on Android. Google has started to release stuff that's really essentially broken, I think they are pushing their luck a bit with that strategy. In any event, the need for a handheld device with a quality, open operating system remains an outrageously huge opportunity. -- KM


Developing apps for Google Android: it's a mixed bag — The software development kit for Google's Linux-based Android mobile phone operating system has been out in the wild for a over a month now, plenty of time for developers to form opinions of the platform and assess the capabilities of the API.
