Let's start with the obvious: the Internet is going to change the publishing world.
Taking that fact as a given, this mini-series will hypothesize as to how the publishing 2.0 revolution will go down. It will contain the following:
1. Value chain analysis. Any time an industry gets disrupted, the way value is created and transferred gets disrupted as well. In this post we'll speculate as to the changes in the value chain caused by the publishing revolution.
2. New core competences. What skills are going to determine the winners of the revolution?
3. Intersection: Management 2.0 & Publishing 2.0. The concept of management is being revolutionized as well, and the firms that are the big winners in publishing 2.0 will employ management 2.0 tactics.
4. We will conclude as we typically do: with
a list of links and resources for further exploration on how the publishing revolution will go down.
