Let's make it simple.

The next big thing in the attention economy is reconstruction: it is the product creators taking APIs, RSS feeds, widgets, and open source applications to create entirely new applications that are better suited to allocate attention. In this way, the online advertising market will be disrupted.

But unbeknownst to virtually all of humanity, there is a secret connection between the attention economy and my jaw.

Tomorrow, you see, I am going in for orthognathic surgery -- a process in which they realign (or should I say reconstruct) my jaw. The not so fun part of this is that my jaw is broken and then wired shut for for weeks. Yes, that means an all liquid diet.

But just as reconstruction can introduce greater efficiencies in the attention economy, it can also introduce greater efficiencies in my bite and speech.

Now we know that as entrepreneurs, bloggers, and capitalists, it is our mindset that ultimately lets us achieve and succeed. While others see obstacles, we see opportunities; while others submit to fear, we submit to freedom. It's all about the mindset.

So, with that in mind, spend some time thinking positive thoughts about me and my surgery, wishing for the best and a speedy recovery. Also, while you are at it, spend some time meditating on beautiful women throwing themselves at me, and finding it irresistably attractive that I live in an apartment the size of a shoebox and wear sweatpants seven days a week.
